Her Memory 02:59
I'm still clinging to her memory And I know I should go on and live again I'm still clinging to her memory And someday I hope she might be back to stay. I wish she would write me a letter Or better yet just - give me a call 'Cause I've tried so many times And I'm down to my last dime And it seems my message just hits the wall. I'm still clinging to her memory And I know I should go on and live again I'm still clinging to her memory And someday I hope she might be back to stay. I know I should find me another But her face would still return to haunt me nights I want her more each day But she wants things her own way And it seems our love will never see the light. Someday I hope she - might be - back to stay. Lyrics & Music by R. James (p) 2016 Angry Lion Publishing

Uh - huh ... Old Joe Boudreau had a still on the hill With the 'G'men and 'T'men just sniffing around When a couple kids went blind And another couple died They knew they had to find him quick and take the man down Take him down - take the man down Take him down - that's the only way they do it When Old Joe missed the curve 'Cause his brakes just wouldn't work They knew they'd finally found a way to take the man down Take the man down ... Uh - huh Tony was the king of the sex and drug type thing Get high all day on China White and play with his gun When he shot himself a cop After shooting up the town They knew they had to find him quick and take the man down Take him down - take the man down Take him down - that's the only way they do it When a girl he used to beat Cooked him up his final treat They knew they'd finally found a way to take the man down Take the man down ... uh - huh If you step out of song you're dead, right or wrong You'll cover up your tracks and keep an ear to the ground When the morning finds you shot down Like a dog out in the street You'll know they finally found a way to take the man down Take him down - take the man down Take him down - that's the only way they do it You'll cover up your tracks and keep an ear to the ground In the end they're gonna find a way to take the man When the morning finds you fenced up like a mongrel in the pound You'll know they finally found a way to take the man down.

Satisfied 03:11
Everybody wonders why I spend my nights alone There must someone special ... A certain girl you've known You play with fire too often - Get singed and forced to fly Hell is a heartache And I'm just not satisfied ... Love just isn't something I believe in Not tomorrow, not tonight and not today I stay up half the night Trying to make the sparks ignite I'm no quitter but I'm just not satisfied. If I've already found her then I guess I let her go Maybe left her somewhere Down some long forgotten road We never really fell in love But in a way we tried Rain soaked and tear stained And I'm just not satisfied ... Love just isn't something I believe in Not tomorrow, not tonight and not today

No Alibi 03:40
I reached for comfort and I found she wasn't there So I stumbled in the dark to find the light The clock says six a.m. My heart says something else It'd be alright, at least, if she would lie But she ain't got no alibi She ain't got no alibi No guilt and no regrets - No tears to cloud her eye She ain't got no alibi. It's not the first time that I've spent the night alone I worry 'bout her ... god knows, I can't sleep I just can't lose her, I've been loving her too long I'd rather bear the pain than say good-bye She ain't got no alibi She ain't got no alibi No guilt and no regrets - No tears to cloud her eye She - ain't got no alibi. No guilt and no regrets ... Lyrics & Music (c)2017 R. James Angry Lion Publishing SOCAN/ASCAP A division of House Of Horace Media

Yippie - yi -yi - oh A starry night - A campfire light Cowgirl is minding her dream Wide open range And cowpunchers claim A yellow coyote calls to the moon ... A cowboy comes riding Up to the fire Sweeps the girl into his arms He loves her along A kiss then he's gone And yellow coyote calls to the moon - Yippie - yi - yi - yo Don't you love him so But your man just won't settle down Tippie - yi - yi - yay He's again on his way And the man just don't know where he's bound Yippie - yi - yi - yo When she was just seventeen She was a rodeo queen It's been at least that many years She surveys the stars Counts all her scars And yellow coyote calls to the moon Yippie - yi - yi - yo The man just don't know where he's bound

I don't smoke I don't drink anymore I was in the arms of cocaine When she found me on the floor ... She must've saw right through me When she came to save the day And banish all the habits I picked up along the way I was up - I was out - every night Looking for a good-time girl To help me through the night ... Struck down by an angel - tucked in the clouds of grey She's a habit I picked up along the way The nightlife almost killed me .. but the lonely days were worse Some times a man can walk through life And still not know he's cursed ... Struck down by an angel - tucked in the clouds of grey She's a habit I picked up along the way She's a habit I picked up along the way .... Just a habit - one more habit - aww .. a habit - The nightlife almost killed me - but the lonely days were worse Sometimes a man can walk through life And still not know he's cursed ... I don't smoke - I don't drink - anymore Sometimes I take her worries As I'm walking out the door - Struck down by an angel - tucked in the clouds of grey She's a habit ... I picked up along the way - She's a habit I picked up along the way. Just a habit - one more habit -

Oh, her name is Cora Grey And her folks live over yonder I’ve walked her home from school Every day since I was ten Every time I see her mother I ask after Cora Is there any news of my friend - She left one sunny day To live with friends in Ireland We traded our good-byes As the train came round the bend Many nights I’ve pined Thinking of my Cora Waiting on some news from my friend - We’d walk from here to the end of the pier And watch the tide go out And ever since the age of ten she’s all I’ve thought about When I saw her mum today She kissed me on the cheek and said .. “Today Cora Grey’s coming home.” Now I’m rushing home from work To find my fanciest attire I plan to go a’calling On a lady friend I know She’ll be waiting at the station ‘Cause the folks are all at my house Today Cora Grey’s coming home We’d walk from here to the end of the pier And watch the tide go out And ever since the age of ten she’s all I’ve thought about When I saw her mum today She kissed me on the cheek and said ... “Today Cora Grey’s coming home.” We’d walk from here to the end of the pier And watch the tide go out And ever since the age of ten she’s all I’ve thought about When I saw her mum today She kissed me on the cheek and said ... “Today Cora Grey’s coming home.” Aw, today Cora Grey’s coming home Yes, today Cora Grey’s coming home .. aw ...

about

Our apologies for the slow going on the release of our debut album "Adventures In Cowboyland". Hell, half of our band was lent out to our label mate Robert James, while he finished up his fourth release. Well we're back now with a vengeance. Sure, the songs are still nuggets in the rough and only six of the ten songs are posted. That's changing, pardner. Feel free to follow along as we build this campfire collection. Once the website is built you'll be able to read the chapter that accompanies each of these ten songs. Ten songs, ten chapters .. why that's ten times the fun.
Beaverdell says he's ready ... thanks in advance, Jett Black
